The Montomery Beautification Committee, which I chair as part of my Village Trustee duties, has launched another new program to encourage beauty in our neighborhoods. We now have an annual program to recognize flower beds of our many residents with “Green Thumbs.”
Residents can nominate their own properties or those of a neighbor. From entries submitted, volunteer judges help determine which properties and property owners should be recognized for their success in making our neighborhoods more colorful and more attactive for everyone to enjoy. Colorful plantings also encourage butterflies, hummingbirds and they, too, make the village summertime all that much more enjoyable.
The power of volunteerism is strong, and we hope you agree that working together, we can all make Montgomery a special place that “”Feels Like Home.”
